Boar Horn Earrings

Virzi Jewellery

Boar Horn Earrings draw from the tradition of boar horns brought back from hunts, historically preserved as objects of pride and symbols of victory, strength, and protection. Reimagined through the sculptural language of Italian jewelry from the 1950s and 1960s, the horn becomes a fluid form that projects outward from the ear with volume, tension, and movement. As hunters once cut and embellished their trophies, wrapping them with woven colored threads and small ornamental objects, here the horn is framed by fine linear elements and stud-like details that reinterpret those adornments in metal. Cast in bronze and finished with 18k gold plating, the pieces combine material density with a refined, luminous surface.

The curved silhouette unfolds sinuously, creating a gesture that is both sensual and assertive. Fine linear elements and stud-like details articulate the form, introducing rhythm and a subtle ornamental structure that echoes traditional decorative practices associated with hunting trophies.

Designed to project outward from the ear, the earrings assert a strong yet balanced presence. Both symbolic and expressive, Boar Horn Earrings transform a traditional emblem into a contemporary object — defined by movement, strength, and a quietly provocative identity.
