Coral And Shells Ring
Client:
Virzi Jewellery
A sculptural ring composed of overlapping corals and shells, conceived as a miniature surrealist landscape for the hand. Cast in bronze and finished with 18k gold plating, the piece brings together marine forms in a dense, tactile composition that feels both precious and fantastical.
Its vertical structure and layered relief recall the dreamlike visual language of surrealism, drawing inspiration from worlds where ornament, fantasy, and the unconscious converge. Part of the Surrealist collection, the ring transforms shells and coral into a jewel of strong presence and poetic ambiguity.
Each piece is cast in bronze using the traditional cire perdue technique, then individually finished and polished by hand by jewellers. The warmth and substance of the metal enhance the richness of its gold-plated finish, while slight variations make every ring unique.
