Lion Guardian Ring

Virzi Jewellery
The Lion Guardian Ring translates the figure of the lion into a dense sculptural form, defined by volume, texture, and expression. Cast in silver and finished with black rhodium plating, the piece carries a darker, more concentrated presence, enhancing the depth of its carved surface.
Inspired by the visual language of Benin art, the lion emerges as a symbolic figure of power and protection. Its features are deliberately emphasized — the open mouth, the structured mane, the tension in the form — creating a sense of contained force.
The eyes are set with emeralds, introducing a point of contrast within the composition. This subtle presence of the stone reinforces the gaze, giving the piece a heightened sense of awareness and intensity.
Cast using the cire perdue technique and finished by hand, each ring preserves the nuances of the original hand sculpted model. Slight variations may occur, reinforcing the singular character of each piece.
