Fluid Necklace
Client:
Virzi Jewellery
Fluid Necklace is a sculptural piece composed of articulated square elements and hollow tubular components, designed to create a continuous sense of movement as it follows the body. Inspired in part by the geometry and ceremonial presence of Inca necklaces, the piece balances modular structure with fluidity, producing a subtle kinetic effect as the wearer moves.
Each element is slightly curved and connected through small concealed rings on the reverse, allowing the necklace to remain supple and responsive while preserving the strength of the overall composition. The alternating square modules and tubular forms build a dense visual rhythm around the neck, giving the piece both architectural clarity and ornamental richness.
Cast using the traditional cire perdue technique, each component is individually assembled, fully lined, hand-finished, and polished by skilled jewellers before receiving an 18k gold-plated finish. Both tactile and structural, the necklace combines movement, texture, and sculptural presence in a piece that feels at once bold and refined.
Cast in bronze, the piece reveals the warm tone and substantial feel of the metal, whose richness is further enhanced by an 18k gold-plated finish.
