Orbital Chaise
Client:
Virzi Studio
Orbital Chaise explores the relationship between movement and support through a continuous, reclining form. The structure unfolds in a dynamic arc of polished steel, articulated by spherical elements that function as both structural joints and visual anchors. These spheres introduce rhythm and precision, giving the piece a distinct architectural identity.
The upholstered leather surface follows the curvature of the frame, creating a seamless transition between structure and body. Designed for full-body support, the chaise invites a relaxed, elongated posture while maintaining a strong sculptural presence.
Balancing tension and softness, geometry and comfort, Orbital Chaise exists between object and furniture — a study in proportion, material contrast, and the elegance of engineered form.
