sofa
Elytra sofa extends the series’ dialogue with Brazilian modernist furniture: wood as structure, surface, and presence, held in direct relation to the body. Here, that inheritance opens into a longer, more generous form, where the frame carries the piece in one continuous gesture.
The wooden structure carries the memory behind the name elytra — the protective wing cases of beetles — expanding the movement first explored in the lounge chair. It appears in the way the side curves lift, open, and return, giving the sofa a sense of movement while keeping its outline clear.
The upholstery brings the counterpoint, softening the object with comfort, volume, and ease.
