armchair

Myth armchair brings the compact, enigmatic presence of Myth seat no. 1 into a formal seating structure, translating its lion-form front legs, ebonized wood, and cotton velvet into a chair with integrated arms.

the arms create a second frame around the seat, giving the piece a more grounded posture while keeping the back, cushion, and rear legs within the same restrained line. the cotton velvet introduces a softer surface between the dark wood structure and the polished gold-finished cast-metal front legs, where the symbolic language of the series remains concentrated.

rather than treating the lion legs as ornament, the design lets them carry the tension of the piece: part support, part reference, part interruption within an otherwise controlled wooden frame.
