coffee table no. 2
the Orbital coffee table no. 2 explores a more contained expression within the Orbital collection. unlike other pieces in the series, where the spherical elements extend outward from the structure, here they are brought inward, held within precise cut-outs along the body of the table.
the shift gives the table a lower and more controlled presence. the polished stainless steel volume remains clean and direct, while the recessed spheres create rhythm, and depth from within the construction rather than outside it.
the design depends on precise metalwork: each recessed opening, sphere, block, foot, and edge must be constructed and finished with control, so that the ornament feels built into the piece rather than applied to it. the result is a low table with a strong craft character.
