daybed
Orbital Daybed takes the familiar idea of a daybed and pushes it into a more assertive object. the polished steel frame gives the piece its structure, while repeated spheres suggest chaos, rhythm, and a controlled kind of excess.
rectangular openings interrupt the frame, breaking the smoothness of the line and giving the piece a sharper, less predictable character. the upholstered plane remains continuous and inviting, keeping the daybed connected to the body, to rest, and to use.
at each end, the cylindrical bolsters work as armrests or headrests, adding comfort while cutting across the linear frame. below, the faceted base anchors the piece, with clustered spheres repeating the same vocabulary in a lower, more grounded register.
